Hotel Odeon

In collaboration with Arkitema & Barbara Bendix Becker

Hotel Odeon is a contemporary, upscale destination where Nordic elegance meets international sophistication. Located in the heart of Odense, the hotel provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere for both travellers and locals. From the earliest design stages, we were closely involved in shaping the ground floor to ensure a seamless integration of flow, functionality, and aesthetics.

In collaboration with textile designer Barbara Bendix Becker, we developed a soft, refined colour scheme that reflects the hotel’s distinct character. Rooted in Danish design traditions and craftsmanship, these elements come together to form a unified and sophisticated visual identity.

The lobby was designed as a multifunctional environment, serving breakfast during the high season while also offering the flexibility to host private events or gatherings. Its layout adapts effortlessly to a range of uses, supporting both everyday routines and special occasions with equal ease.

Every detail—from the colour palette and textures to the selection of materials—was carefully considered to create a cohesive atmosphere. This holistic approach continues throughout the property, from the inviting lobby and adaptable meeting spaces to each of the 243 well-appointed rooms and suites. Creating a sense that the entire hotel is thoughtfully connected as one unified experience.

H.C. by Meyers, the hotel’s on-site restaurant, has become a vital part of Odense’s culinary scene. Known for its seasonal, high-quality cuisine and relaxed atmosphere, it attracts not only hotel guests but also a loyal local following, solidifying its place as a favourite dining destination in the city.
